It looks like Neville Longbottom finally got the happy ending he deserved.
Matthew Lewis, the actor who played the good-hearted Gryffindor wizard in the Harry Potter films, is officially a married man. One thousand points for Lewis! The British actor announced via social media that he wed girlfriend Angela Jones in Italy over the weekend. Sorry to dash your hopes and dreams, Potterheards, but Lewis did not tie the knot with Luna Lovegood.
"Not only did I miss (seeing the band Arctic Monkeys) in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming," Lewis delightfully captioned the photo announcing the news.
Lewis and Jones met while she was working at an event at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. They have been dating since July 2016, and got engaged on the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2016.
It's unclear whether any of Lewis's fellow Hogwarts wizards and wizards were there to help celebrate his big day.
So congrats, Neville! Your transformation will never cease to amaze us. You have come a very long way...
