Things are about to get super fantastic at The CW.

Now that Supergirl is officially making the move from CBS to The CW for it's second season, fans can prepare themselves for one epic crossover event. On Thursday's upfront presentation, CW chief Mark Pedowitz announced an incredible (and a little hard to fathom) four-way crossover with Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl.

"Just imagine what our superhero crossover episode is going to look like come December," Pedowitz told reporters and stated that the forthcoming event would be the network's "biggest one ever." Pedowitz also discussed how Supergirl's network shift is a really good thing. “The fact that it's now moved to The CW, where it should have been in the first place, I don't think it will have a big impact on the tone,” he added.

The news of the mega crossover isn't entirely surprising since The CW has made it a tradition to host such team-ups for Greg Berlanti (the super producer who serves as an executive on all of these shows). Berlanti is essentially the mastermind behind DC's growing television universe.

Of course, it all started when Arrow introduced Grant Gustin as the dashing and lovable Barry Allen in Season 2. The following year, a crossover between Arrow and The Flash finally happened. Later, the two shows incorporated DC's Legends of Tomorrow ahead of its launch on The CW. In addition, The Flash received its own special crossover episode with Supergirl on CBS.

Still, how will all of this go down? Details of this epic event have yet to be revealed, but we're definitely curious about how things will play out. Since DC's Legends of Tomorrow has a large ensemble cast, perhaps Kara (Melissa Benoist) will only meet a few of them? She should definitely have a scene with Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer / Atom. Like, come on!

Are you excited about The CW's next big superhero extravaganza, or do you think this crossover event is just too ambitious?
