The 97-year-old actor is still alive and kicking, thank you very much.

Don't put dirt on his grave just yet.

People.com accidentally published an obituary for the legendary actor Kirk Douglas sometime over the weekend. The only problem? The 97-year-old actor is still alive and kicking.

The "DO NOT PUB" headline clearly indicates that some poor People editor made a big oopsie in publishing the obituary to the website, but at least the write-up was glowing:

Kirk Douglas, one of the few genuine box-office names to emerge just as TV was overtaking American culture in the years right after World War II, died TK TK TK."

People hasn't commented on the error so far, but we're guessing their comment would be something like, "LOL JK." Here's hoping Mr. Douglas runs out and does a bunch of crazy new things so that People has to rewrite the whole damn obituary.
