admitted in an interview with Radar Online
(which is apparently following her around with a cheap video camera) that she planned to seek "government assistance," when her 8 babies were born. Nadya Suleman's latest interview (From radaronline.com)
In a seemingly impromptu interview posted on Radar
, Suleman answers questions about media scrutiny, her mother, and how she planned to take care of her 14 kids.
When asked by Radar
whether she would have been able to take care of all the children without the well-publicized help from the likes of Dr. Phil and Angels in Waiting, Suleman admitted that she would have been forced to go on welfare.
"Had I not been offered a couple of little opportunities to secure some resources for them, I wouldn't have been able -- I would have been forced probably to get assistance until I was completed with school. And then I again would have been forced to work I don't know how many hours a day to support them as a counselor."
When asked what kind of assistance she means, Suleman stumbled over the words as she said "government assistance." ZIMBIO POLL
DOES IT BOTHER YOU THAT NADYA SULEMAN PLANNED TO SEEK GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE TO TAKE CARE OF HER CHILDREN?
Suleman has come under fire by those calling her use of fertility drugs irresponsible given the 6 children she already had at home. Many think she planned all along to rely on welfare, knowingly making herself a burden on the system. In this latest Radar
interview, Suleman says all such speculation about her not being a capable mother to 14 children is "subjective," and that she'll have to work hard to prove that she "can be a very good mother."
I don't think she's doing herself any favors when she opens her mouth. I'm sure Nadya is getting a paycheck from Radar
, but at best, she looks criminally naive. Did she really think she would be able to support 14 children with whatever job she landed right after school?Octomom Nadya Suleman Visiting Her Kids At The Hospital
