Scoundrels with
Virginia Madsen, but he was fired at the last minute. Why? He refused to engage in the steamy sex scenes the script called for between him and his co-star.

According to the
New York Daily News, this is something of a pattern for McDonough; he appeared on
Desperate Housewives, but declined to get hot and heavy with
Nicolette Sheridan. Same deal with his series
Boomtown.
A source said, "It has cost him jobs, but the man is sticking to his principles."
McDonough will reportedly lose around one million dollars for his stance. ABC has replaced him with
David James Elliott, in what they've called a simple casting change.
