UPDATE: In addition to filming zombie western Dead 7 premiering April 1 on Syfy, the '90s boybanders below recorded a brand new song called "In the End" especially for the flick. You can listen to it here. It is so, totally '90s.
Straight from the makers of timeless classic Sharknado comes Dead 7, a zombie western film starring many of your favorite '90s boybanders.
Featured in what's sure to be a big hit are the Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean, Nick Carter, and Howie Dorough, O-Town's Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller, 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons, and *NSYNC's Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick — and they will indeed be larger than life on the Syfy channel April 1.
As ridiculous as this all sounds, it looks like the network has taken the project pretty seriously. The zombies in the trailer below truly aren't too shabby-looking, and there seem to be plenty of references to real classic westerns.
Nick Carter and newcomer Sawyer Perry wrote the story about "a post-apocalyptic Western that follows a group of gunslingers as they look to rid a small town of a zombie plague." But will O-Town go all or nothing? Will 98 Degrees "Heat It Up?" Will the Backstreet Boys finally know the meaning of being loney? Will *NSYNC say "Bye Bye Bye" to the undead?
Most importantly, is it each band for itself, or will the four combine to form a '90s zombie-popping mega-force?
Find out April 1 on Syfy.
