Nickelback

According to Wikipedia.org: Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in Hanna, Alberta, in 1995 by Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger and Ryan Vikedal. Their hit single " How You Remind Me " from their third album, Silver Side Up reached the top on the Canadian Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, making them the second Canadian band to accomplish this, the first being The Guess Who with " American Woman ". The band originally debuted in 1995 on the Canadian pop charts.

Membership was a matter of two things. Firstly, to create a more accessible sound from the beginning. Secondly, to create a younger Canadian listening experience without a fear of being judged or censored in the marketplace.
