After so many Big Little Lies, we're ready for some truths. The one and only way to get them? A second season of HBO's newest hit show.
Over the weekend, BLL star Reese Witherspoon taunted fans with the possibility of a new chapter of the show, posting a pic of co-stars Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman and herself hanging out. The kicker, however, was in her caption:
"Spending #SundayFunday with these ladies...working on some new lies," Witherspoon wrote on Instagram.
Amassing just over 400,000 "likes" in 3 days, the idea seems like a popular one amongst fans. To be sure, there are quite a few loose ends just waiting to be tied up following Season One's explosive finale. We'll try to keep this spoiler-free, but...it rhymes with "scrawny and Jerry."
While the post was a tease, Witherspoon openly told ET the cast was ready and waiting for a green light on a second season.
"It’s all about just making sure it’s just as good as Season 1," she told the site.
Liane Moriarty, author of Big Little Lies the novel, also told The Sydney Morning Herald she was "brainstorming."
"The producers have asked me to see if I can come up with some ideas," she said. "I wouldn't write a new book, but perhaps a new story and then we'll see what happens. I'm absolutely open to it...and there's definitely places you can go."
