The great Oprah Winfrey accepted the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes on Sunday, and her speech was nothing if not, shall we say, presidential?
"I want all the girls watching to know a new day is on the horizon," the longtime talk show host said at the time. "And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure they are the leaders to take us to the time where nobody has to say 'me too' again."
... the speech sent the web into an absolute tizzy.
Before Trump became president, Oprah didn't think she was qualified for the position. After the real estate mogul's election, however, her opinion changed.
"I thought, oh gee, I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough," she said during an appearance on The David Rubenstein Show. "Now I’m thinking, 'Oh. Oh.'"
Indeed, Oprah. Indeed.
