Fans of America's Next Top Model
remain shocked by Paulina Porizkova
's dismissal from the show. While her comments in the judging room were often barbed, she was a charismatic presence during her brief stint on the show, and she will be missed.
Paulina was made for reality TV, as evidenced by the fact that she's not going down without a fight. She's been giving refreshingly frank interviews since her dismissal, shedding light on the so-called "Tyra Universe" that has mystified many an ANTM viewer. In an interview with Access Hollywood
's Billy Bush, Paulina says that times are tough and "I was [ANTM's] cutback," but hinted that there was probably more to it. I must admit I was having a bit of an issue with Tyra being late for every judging. It's six hours later and I feel like I am being told my time is not as valuable as hers. They pointed out that I should shut up and be grateful for the job and that Tyra is really busy.
I think that my little hissy fits about 'Well, we are all here on time. Why can't she?' didn't go over all that well.
Paulina admitted that she'd never "run an empire" and most likely wouldn't understand all that being Tyra Banks entails.
When asked if she thought Tyra couldn't hack being on a panel with another woman (Janice Dickinson, Kimora Lee, and Twiggy have all been dismissed from the show in years past), Paulina answered, "I don't think that in Tyra's unverse that's even a consideration. I don't think she cares. I'm not even sure she was aaware that I existed way out there in Siberia, much like I am not sure she knew Twiggy existed."
Bush asked Porizkova if Tyra was a nice person, to which she honestly responded, "I wouldn't know [what kind of person Tyra is] because all I know of her is literally when we are on the set talking to each other in front of the cameras. That is the only time she would speak to me."
