Rainey Qualley's first movie, The Day the Earth went Dry in the 1970s, was a thriller based on the story of a young scientist from California who decides to bring back the dinosaurs after saving them three and a half million years ago from extinction. Written and directed by and starring Rainey Qualley (whose real name is James Gordon Parks) he starring his own daughter and four siblings.
