For about 50 percent of us, this story will hit particularly close to home. In A.C.O.D., Adam Scott
plays Carter, a guy who's been caught in the middle of his parents' (Richard Jenkins
and Catherine O'Hara
) messy divorce for the past 20 years. Little did he know that a psychologist and writer (Jane Lynch
) has penned a book about Carter whom she says suffers from A.C.O.D or "Adult Children of Divorce." It's only when Carter's younger brother reveals he's getting hitched that he's forced to go head-on with his parents and their new spouses including Amy Poehler,
and deal with the damage that being affected A.C.O.D has caused emotionally.
The film looks charming, relatable, and rife with catchy one-liners. We're also digging Jessica Alba
's tattooed look and comedic reunion between Scott and Lynch:
