The time has finally come for Ygritte and Jon Snow to wed! Well, not exactly. The Game of Thrones characters may have been robbed of their happily ever after, but Kit Harington and Rose Leslie's wedding date has officially been revealed, and it's sooner than you may think. According to the BBC, Harington and Leslie will wed on June 23 at the Huntly registration office in Aberdeenshire (one of the 32 council areas of Scotland). Apparently, Leslie's father, councillor Seb Leslie, is the proud of owner of a castle in the area. NBD.

Harington and Leslie announced their engagement in September 2017, and have dated on and off since meeting on set in 2012. As they only confirmed their relationship a year ago by showing up together at London's Olivier Awards, things are moving pretty fast, and fans are elated.

Harington spoke publicly about Leslie during an interview with Esquire in May 2017.

"It's as much [Leslie's] relationship as it is mine and I can't speak for both of us," the actor said. "But yeah, we are very, very happy. So that's what I'll say about that."

He also told Vogue Italia his favorite GoT moment was in Iceland with his lady love.

"Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love," he said. "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it's becomes very easy to fall in love."

Harington and Leslie's engagement was also announced in The Times newspaper, because how else would everyone have known?!

The couple's GoT characters had a passionate yet brief love affair before being torn apart by both culture and, well, death.

Thankfully, real life isn't so harsh.
