Kiernan Shipka has finally found the Harvey Kinkle to her Sabrina Spellman.
Actor Ross Lynch has been cast as Sabrina's sweet but simple boyfriend in the upcoming Netflix reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
"Boom baby," Lynch wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, March 14. "Everyone, meet my next character - Harvey Kinkle."
The 22-year-old, who acted in Disney's Teen Beach Movie and Austin & Ally, took a turn toward the horror genre when he portrayed serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in new drama/crime film, My Friend Dahmer. Netflix's Sabrina is based on Archie Comics's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which are significantly more dark than Melissa Joan Hart's sweet and sassy comedy series.
According to E! News, Netflix's Harvey is being described as "the prince charming of this dark fairy tale."
"Harvey is the son of a coal miner," the description reads, "a dreamboat and a dreamer, completely unaware of the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart."
Well my, my, my.
In January, Shipka, was announced as the streaming giant's pick for Sabrina Spellman. The following month, Archie Comics chief creative officer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, revealed Salem the Cat. Unlike the '90s version, Sabrina's grumpy feline BFF will be played by a real animal — not a puppet.
Meanwhile, Sabrina's BFF, Rosalind Walker, will be played by Paper Towns' Jaz Sinclair.
As EW describes it, Netflix's Sabrina is "tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist" with themes of witchcraft, mischief, and the occult.
Dark days ahead, friends!
