During Monday's E! upfronts presentation in New York City, the Olympian told a reporter, “They asked me if I would [do
The Bachelor] or
Dancing with the Stars. And I was like, ‘Why don’t I just have my own reality TV show, and just put it all in there myself? Do it my own way.’”
It was unclear exactly who "they" were who offered Lochte both reality gigs, but now it seems like it may just have been his mother or an over-zealous agent. Shortly after the interview was posted on the web on Tuesday, ABC executive Robert Mills
tweeted, "Uhhh...you were never offered
Bachelor."
