You may know Sabrina Carpenter as the bold, fiercely independent Maya Hart on Girl Meets World, the Disney spin-off of the beloved '90s sitcom Boy Meets World. However, the 16-year-old actress is proving her talents go well beyond the camera. This year, she released her pop/rock-inspired album Eyes Wide Open, and gave an impassioned performance of her lead single "We'll Be Stars" at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards.
This fall, she'll bring another classic (The Adventures in Babysitting) to a whole new generation in the Disney Channel movie Further Adventures of Babysitting. Clearly, good things are ahead for this talented (and nostalgia-inspired) star. The actress took time to answer our 26 burning questions, below.

Hozier. Such pure, raw talent. I cried. Enough said.

Miley Cyrus. I was 10 and wore a fedora. I should not have worn a fedora.

Someone who won’t take "no" for an answer.
Embarrassing story you're ready to share with the world:
My first night I toured in Canada I wore red lipstick, and by the end of the show it was all over my face and I had no idea. I've never worn it since.
Favorite song from your new album:
"Eyes Wide Open." It is the most up-to-date song about who I am and the lyrics define me.
Girl Meets World co-star that never fails to crack you up:
Ben Savage or Will Friedle because they are comedic geniuses.
Hardest thing you've ever had to do:
Take "no" for an answer.
Inspiration for most of the songs on Eyes Wide Open:
"What would Sabrina like to sing about?" That was basically the only inspiration for the album. I took inspiration from whatever I wanted. I was the captain of that ship. There was no overall theme besides me telling stories I wanted to tell. And I have a lot more to tell.
