People magazine has named Sandra Bullock 2015's most beautiful woman, and we can't argue with that. After all, how can you not love a woman who responds like this when given the honor: "That's ridiculous. I've told no one."
In her interview with the mag, Bullock talks about her son Louis, 5, who she adopted from New Orleans in 2010. The real beauty in life, she says, comes from quiet conversations with her little man. "I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I'm old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I'll still love him and want to tuck him in," she revealed. "And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, 'Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.' And he touched my face and said, 'You're not old, you're just happy.' "
Wise words from tiny minds, no? Sandra Bullock's beauty is definitely much more than skin deep. Here are just a few of the ways the 50-year-old actress is gorgeous on the inside, as well as the outside.
She's active in charity work
Bullock is a proud supported of the American Red Cross and has donated $1 million to the charity on four different occasions (for the Liberty Disaster Relief Fund, in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, after the Haiti earthquake, and following the 2011 Japan earthquake).
After Hurricane Katrina, Bullock also helped rebuild the ravaged Warren Easton High School in New Orleans.
She gives credit where credit is due
In 2013 she was honored as Favorite Humanitarian at the People's Choice Awards. She used her speech to put the focus on the teachers and students of Warren Easton High School.
She's a great mom
Bullock is a hands on single mom who doesn't rely on nannies or entourages. A quick perusal through Zimbio's photo archive of the actress reveals that she spends way more of her time at school drop-offs than she does on the red carpet. And on Halloween, she's totally down to get goofy with themed costumes.
