It was nearly impossible to pick a favorite part of Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show Sunday night — how do you choose between Lenny Kravitz's cleavage, a giant metal lion, Missy Elliot's general awesomeness, AND dancing sharks?! But, now that we know that the man in one of those dancing shark costumes is super hot (and not actually Snoop Dogg), a clear winner has emerged.
It's the shark. The hot shark.
The guy behind this mesmerizing ensemble (he's apparently the shark on the right during the performance) is Perry's longtime backup dancer Scott Myrick. And he has abs. Lots of them.
So, that's what an "eight-pack" looks like, huh?
Anyway, Myrick was all over social media after the performance and was as excited as you were about the show. “And that everyone, is what it feels like to have your heart explode. I've never been more proud to be a part of something in my life,” he tweeted. “Tonight was a feeling and moment in time that I will never, ever forget. Thank you for all the support everyone. Thanks be to Jesus, aka @katyperry for this shark takeover. You called it gurllllll.”
He's been dancing onstage with Perry since her 2011 California Dreams tour and was featured on a 2013 Entertainment Weekly cover with the pop star.
And he's part of the Katy Perry-Taylor Swift feud, even. Myrick is one of the dancers that Perry allegedly hired out from under Swift for her Prismatic World Tour, creating all that "bad blood." Eek! But who cares about all that drama when you have sharks.
Also, for the record: The shark on the left is reportedly another dancer named Bryan Gaw, and he's easy on the eyes too.
