So long Hawkins, 'ello London!
Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown just struck a deal with Legendary Entertainment to lead an upcoming movie series based off of Nancy Springer's young adult series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries.
Brown will play the title character, Enola Holmes — the 14-year-old kid sister of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic characters, Sherlock and Mycroft. The upcoming movie will adapt the first book from Springer's series, The Case of the Missing Marquess, which follows Enola's keen detective work in London. After their mother goes missing, Sherlock and Mycroft insist that Enola enroll in a stuffy Victorian boarding school. Unwilling to settle for corsets and tea time, Enola flees to London where she solves mysteries while eluding her famous brothers.
The 13-year-old Emmy-nominated actress just wrapped up filming Legendary's Godzilla: King of Monsters, which is set to debut in 2019. On top of that, the girl has her own production company, PCMA Productions, which is onboard to co-produce the untitled Enola Holmes flick.
If you're sitting there, feeling bad that a 13-year-old is out there hustling harder than you are, just know that Mary-Kate and Ashley had a production company when they were six. SIX.
Anyhoo... in total, there are six books in the Enola Holmes series, so *fingers crossed* we can expect several Millie Bobby Brown mystery movies in the upcoming years.
