The First 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' Clip Brings Us Back to the Original 1993 Film

We've already seen a teaser photo and a teaser poster, and now Jurassic World fans have something else to up their anticipation for the upcoming sequel.

On Wednesday, director Colin Trevorrow tweeted out the first "footage" from the upcoming film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The (very) short video features Chris Pratt in his role as tough-as-nails velociraptor wrangler, Owen, and one tiny, fierce friend. (Sound on, to get the full effect of this cute clip!)

Ummm, is it 2018 yet?

The interaction between Pratt's character and the little dino (which will, let us reminder you, grow up to be a lethal killing machine), gives us major déjà vu. Who else recalls that amazing velociraptor egg hatching scene in the original 1993 film, Jurassic Park

The sequel to 2015's mega hit Jurassic World, will star Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum (!!!), Ted Levine, and The Get Down's Justice Smith, and is set to hit theaters June 22, 2018.

Few details about the film have been released, but Trevorrow did dish to media earlier this summer in Spain: "The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today: the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons."

Now, if we could just get our claws on a full-length trailer...
