Warning: Do not keep reading if you aren't mentally prepared. There will be tears. There will be nostalgia. Don't try to fight it, because it's happening. The new trailer for Disney's Christopher Robin has been released, and fans are getting emotionally wrecked. In it, a grown-up Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) reunites with his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Sometimes it's hard being an adult, and it seems CR has lost his special spark. Only Winnie-the-Pooh and pals can help him rediscover the friendship, kindness, and wonder of his childhood, and oh, bother, here come the tears.
Most grown-ups can relate to the bogged down slump that CR is going through — you're working constantly, worrying chronically, and there's no time left over for fun. Christopher Robin's wife, Evelyn (Hayley Atwell) and daughter, Madeline (Bronte Carmichael) are casualties of his workaholism, and only the world's biggest honey addict can fix it. But Pooh has a problem of his own: His own crew has disappeared, and it's up to CR to save them.
Who knew Pooh's life was so dramatic?!
The film is sure to be a joy for anyone who grew up with Winne-the-Pooh and friends, and it's a great opportunity to share the magic of Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet with the little ones of today.
The trailer debuted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, May 25. Check it out below, and look out for the film in theaters August 3, 2018.
