Look out, everyone! Bindi's got her eye on the Mirror Ball Trophy.
On Monday night's episode of Dancing with the Stars, Bindi Irwin continued to rock the dance floor with her killer moves and sweet smiles. All the DWTS contestants were asked to perform dances that resonated with them on a personal level and honored their hometowns. Much to Derek Hough's surprise, his young dancing partner revealed that she totally loves rocking out to heavy metal.
“That's what my mom and dad especially, would listen to,” Bindi stated in a pre-recorded segment of the show. “I was so little and so happy.”
To honor her late father, Steve Irwin, the dancing duo performed a stunning tango to AC/DC's smash hit “You Shook Me All Night Long.” The homage definitely paid off. Bindi received a score of 25 out of 30 from the judges which placed her at the top of the scoreboard.
The 17 year-old's mother, Terri Irwin, was in the audience and became emotional as she watched her daughter speak in detail about the AC/DC song. Later on, Bindi revealed just how much the performance meant to her. She said, “I remember when I was really little, dad would sing that song."
"Sometimes you just need a moment,” Bindi told People Magazine. "I think I was just so excited because the song means so much to me. That just hit me. There are so many memories attached to that song.”
The contestants will dance again on Tuesday night, and someone else will be sent home. Tune in at 9 p.m. on ABC to find out who it is. Check out Bindi and Derek's incredible performance below.
