Who says girls aren't funny?
Tina Fey and
Amy Poehler co-hosted the 70th Annual Golden Globes and pretty much slayed it from beginning to end with witty jokes and lots of fun, silly banter.
The ladies started off strong with an opening monologue (or dialogue, we should say) that delivered hilarious joke after hilarious joke aimed at everyone from
Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow ("When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.") to Meryl Streep ("Meryl Streep has the flu, and I hear she's amazing in it."). They even poked fun at their TV star status, joking, "Only at the Golden Globes do the beautiful people of film rub shoulders with the rat-faced people of television."

Fey and Poehler kept up the fun throughout the show, posing as fake nominees for a movie called
Dog President (right), and hobnobbing with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney during the Best Actress in a Television Comedy announcement.
Later in the show, Fey made one of the night's best jokes, warning a certain pop princess to stay away from Mr. Golden Globes,
Sam Fox. "You know what, Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J. Fox's son," the
30 Rock star quipped. Fey and Poehler were so good that we even found ourselves wishing that the show contained most co-host goodness, which is something we've
never wished during an awards show.
