Adam Scott is a busy man. On top of playing the utterly detestable demon, Trevor, on The Good Place, he will also be entering the fifth dimension via Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone reboot. The show is currently in production and is slated to air sometime in 2019, and this news proves it'll be nothing short of epic.

Deadline reports Scott will star in the episode titled "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet," which seems to be an homage to one of the series' most popular episodes, "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." He will presumably take over the role popularized by William Shatner in 1963 and John Lithgow in 1983. It will be a reimagination of the episode, which follows an aircraft passenger who sees a gremlin lodged on the wing of the plane. The story is so popular that it's been referenced many times in pop culture, including in comedy film Bridesmaids and in a Halloween special of The Simpsons.

The reboot is being executive produced and hosted by Oscar-winning writer-director Jordan Peele, who is known for the horror hit Get Out. In a press release last year, he shared how ecstatic he was to put a fresh spin on the iconic series and serve it to modern audiences:

"Too many times this year it's felt we were living in a twilight zone," he said. "And I can't think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences."

The Twilight Zone is praised for weaving societal issues into its episodes, and this is what urged Peele to move ahead with the project.

"The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling’s mission,” Peele said in an interview with Variety. "If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow Twilight Zone fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it’s a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society."

Earlier this month, it was announced that actor Sanaa Lathan would also be entering the fifth dimension to star in an episode called "Rewind." Per Vulture, it's "an episode from the early 2000s revival of the series that focuses on a gambler who thinks they can beat the house with the help of a mysterious tape recorder."

The Twilight Zone reboot will be available for streaming on CBS All Access next year.
