Still shocked by those last four words, and want more Gilmore Girls? We do, too. Fans who watched the much-hyped Gilmore Girls revival, which dropped on Netflix almost two years ago (!), were left reeling after Amy Sherman-Palladino ended Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on a huge cliffhanger (aka mom, I've got a bun in the oven).
After the four-episode mini series hit the streaming service, fans (and the cast) were immediately left to wonder if Netflix was going to dedicate itself to wrapping up some of those open-ended storylines — and develop another season. So, almost two years have passed and still we want to know: Will there ever be more episodes of Gilmore Girls for us to enjoy over a cup of hot, steamy coffee? Well, probably not... anytime soon.
During the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, Netflix’s VP of original content, Cindy Holland, dropped a rather discouraging tidbit about the status of more Gilmore Girls:
Well, that's not promising at all. If we want more Amy Sherman-Palladino, I guess we should turn to her new show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Seems like interesting things are afoot there.
