That's right, folks. FOX has announced that next season will be American Idol's last.
The show, which began in 2002, has produced a bevy of stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Hudson. Ryan Seacrest will return with judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. to bid adieu to the series in 2016.
