(The CW)[Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Season 3 premiere of Arrow.]
Have your hearts recovered from last night's Arrow
premiere yet? We're still processing a lot of things (Sara, oh Sara), but for now let's talk about the major Oliver/Felicity developments.
Oliver worked up the nerve to finally ask Felicity out on a real date, which started off with an adorably honest conversation before being cut short by an explosion. Oliver freaked out, as he always does, and decided that he really can't have a normal life (and, by extension, a normal relationship) while he's The Arrow. Felicity, bless her sweet babbling soul, knew what was coming and told Oliver to stop messing with her heart:Oliver: I'm so sorry. I thought I could be me and The Arrow. But I can't. Not now. Maybe not ever.Felicity: Then say never. Stop dangling maybes. Say it's never going to work out between us, say you're never going to love me... say...
Which led to the epic moment Olicity fans have been waiting for:
Feeeeeeelings. Oliver has a point about his life being dangerous, but good god man, doesn't it get exhausting constantly denying your own emotions? As Arrow
executive producer Marc Guggenheim told TVLine
after last night's episode, “The repercussions of that scene and that storyline in Episode 1, that’s going to follow them over the course of Season 3. It’s not over. We didn’t just hit pause or reset on their relationship. This is just a development in an ongoing relationship.”
So what do you think? Do you wish Oliver and Felicity would just get together already or are you happy to wait for the real deal? Or would you rather see Felicity with someone (seemingly) less dangerous, like oh say, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh)?
