Twi-hards have been fawning over both
Taylor Lautner and
Robert Pattinson for years now, but the two dudes have grown close to one another as well. Sometimes much closer than they'd like.
Lauter told
People.com that scenes when Edward and Jacob are arguing can get a little, er, dirty. He said, "We're always like an inch away from each other's faces, screaming at each other, spitting at each other in the face. It gets a little awkward."
He admitted of Pattinson, "I'm sure he caught a couple splats."
Since the guys get along well in real life, it's easy to break character in front of the cameras. Lautner revealed, "Rob and I ruin a lot of takes."
