's marriage is officially over. The papers have been signed, mandatory parenting classes have been attended, and the childcare plan has been mapped out, according to Us
magazine. The two met in court yesterday to finalize everything, and sources say they didn't even exchange a "hello." Elin Nordegren and Charlie. (Photo Agency)
Court documents say the marriage was "irretrievably broken" and that a "parenting plan" was figured out in July for the former couple's young children, Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1. The court papers also say Tiger and Elin have been living apart since November -- when Tiger famously crashed his SUV outside their Florida home, following reports that the golfer had a mistress, and we all know what happened after that.
Tiger addressed the news of the finalized divorce on his website yesterday: "While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us...The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation." Elin has decided to go back to her maiden name, Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren and will be able to continue to take the kids to her native Sweden for visits. They spent some of the summer there in a $3 million mansion, which is currently being remodeled.
No official word on how much Elin walked away with in the settlement, but sources say it's quite a bit -- possibly more than $100 million. Reports say she got more than Michael Jordan
's ex-wife, who got $168 million.
