Fantastic Four reboot has settled on a villain, and, as rumored, they'll be bringing back that most famous of
FF nemeses, Dr. Doom. News broke Wednesday,
via Variety, that
Toby Kebbell has been tapped by Fox to resurrect the metal-faced baddie who's part super-genius, part despot, and part sorcerer. With supporting roles in
The Counselor,
Wrath of the Titans, and
Warhorse, Kebbell isn't a super familiar face. (And if he's playing a character wearing a metal mask in his big breakout role, he might stay that way.)
Word is
Boardwalk Empire's
Jack Huston and
Domhnall Gleeson were also vying for the role, which was filled by
Julian McMahon in the 2005 version of the movie. This casting news comes about a month and a half after the public first learned the new Fantastic Four would be comprised of
Miles Teller (Reed Richards),
Kate Mara (Sue Storm),
Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm), and
Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm).
