The running is down to two very young and familiar faces.

According to Badass Digest movie guru Devin Faraci, the competition for the next incarnation of Spider-Man over at Marvel and Sony is down to two talented 18-year-olds: Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland

This comes after news the list was narrowed to Butterfield (Ender's Game), Holland (The Impossible), Nat Wolff (The Fault in Our Stars), Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar), and Liam James (The Way Way Back). So it appears progress is being made with Butterfield the frontrunner. Marvel and Sony are obviously trying to cast an actual teenager to stay true to the character of Peter Parker. A change from tradition as past Spider-Men have been played by Tobey Maguire (26 years-old when cast) and Andrew Garfield (28).

Butterfield has always been destined for stardom since turning heads in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas in 2008...
