There's been a lot of Internet whining over the upcoming Ghostbusters remake, which takes place 30 years after the original and features four brand new 'Busters. Four lady 'Busters, much to the chagrin of those who think battling ghosts in movies should only be left to menfolk.
Now the first trailer for the summer comedy has hit the web, and we hate to break it to the naysayers, but it's a ton of fun. Starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, and directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids), the basic premise is that someone is creating a device that amplifies paranormal activity and these three scientists (plus Jones' NYC subway worker) are the only ones who can stop the ghoulish madness. Throw in some spooky sliming ghosts, Chris Hemsworth, and lots of goofy hilarity, and you've got the makings of a badass summer blockbuster.
Check out the new trailer below, then hit the comments with your thoughts! Ghostbusters hits theaters July 15.
