Apparently Wass Stevens, the actor who starred alongside Mickey Rourke in "The Wrestler" and has recurring roles in "Law and Order" and "Ugly Betty", also has a day job as a doorman at Avenue in NYC, where he was arrested Wednesday night for assaulting a college student.
After refusing to let 24-year-old Peter Pak into the club and getting into a verbal argument, he allegedly hit him over the head with the metal end of the velvet rope. Yes he was arrested, but perhaps the most embarassing part is clarifying for everyone that the guy who works the door at their favorite hangout IS the dude from "Law and Order."
The Trans World News reported:
Stevens, whose real name is Mark Wasserman, insists he is innocent. “Wass is 100 percent innocent. He was released on his own recognizance, without bail, which I think shows you the weakness of the case,” says Stevens’ attorney.
