The Bourne Legacy
Directed by Tony Gilroy
Starring: Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton

A taut, razor-sharp action flick, much like the others in the series. The Bourne Legacy is a reboot of the franchise as Jeremy Renner takes over as a new super agent on the run. He and Rachel Weisz make a compelling onscreen pair who recall the chemistry of Matt Damon and Franka Potente in the original Bourne Identity.

The Campaign
Directed by Jay Roach
Starring: Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Sudekis, Dylan McDermott

Ferrell and Galifianakis are galactically stupid Congressional opponents in this political satire that does the right thing: It doesn't take itself seriously for a second. While not as great as Anchorman, it's in the ballpark. Fans of the two funnymen will love it, women and everyone else probably won't.
See it? Yes.

Hope Springs
Directed by David Frankel
Starring: Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, Steve Carell

Opening to strong reviews, Hope Springs finds Streep and Jones as a married couple who seek counseling to improve their relationship. Word is, it's much smarter than those dumbed-down, over the hill relationship movies like Something's Gotta Give and It's Complicated. Reviews should help, but only certain people are going to want to see this and my mom is one of them.
See it? Sure.

2 Days in New York (Limited)
Directed by Julie Delpy
Starring: Delpy, Chris Rock, Albert Delpy

Delpy follows up her 2007 film 2 Days in Paris with a surprising sequel which travels across the pond to Manhattan. Marion (Delpy) and Mingus (Rock) have their world turned upside down when Marion's French relatives arrive for a visit. Delpy's films are simple, well-written, and make attempts at authenticity, which cannot be said for many indie romances. The presence of Rock should make things interesting. He and Delpy are the ultimate odd couple.
See it? Sure.

Red Hook Summer (Limited)
Directed by Spike Lee
Starring: Jules Brown, Clark Peters, Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Toni Lysaith

Spike Lee returns to Brooklyn in his latest that follows a mohawked kid from Atlanta who spends a summer with his very religious grandfather. Lee has a role as "Mr. Mookie" so the tale must take place in the same universe as Lee's seminal Do the Right Thing. If the trailer is any indication, Clark Peters (The Wire, Treme) steals the show as the pious grandfather .
See it? Sure.
