Aziz Ansari (Getty Images) There's a slight problem with my Jesse Eisenberg / Aziz Anzari interview, the stars of the action-comedy, 30 Minutes or Less. Somehow the mic I had clipped to my shirt did not work. So you hear their answers, but not my questions. So spoiler alert: it's a little weird. You can kinda hear my voice picked up from their mics, but because sound systems vary from computer to computer, I added subtitled parts that might be hard to understand.
They seemed like cool guys in person. Jesse was pretty chill before the cameras rolled. Aziz hated me and clearly did not want to be part of the interview. You can see it especially when I asked if they remember the event in 2003 on which the film is seemingly based. A pizza delivery guy in Pennsylvania is forced to rob a bank by dudes who strapped a bomb to him. I didn't know it was a contentious question going in, otherwise I would have saved it for last.
Here's the plot of the movie: Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) is a small town pizza delivery guy whose mundane life collides with the big plans of two wanna-be criminal masterminds (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson). The volatile duo kidnaps Nick and forces him to rob a bank. With mere hours to pull off the impossible task, Nick enlists the help of his ex-best friend, Chet (Aziz Ansari). As the clock ticks, the two must deal with the police, hired assassins, flamethrowers, and their own tumultuous relationship.
